WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) is seeking talented youths to perform in the 8th Annual WAMI Youth Showcase,
Thursday, July 5th, on the Potawatomi Stage at Summerfest.


WAMI annually produces a youth showcase representing talented youths, ages 8 through 18, from around the state of Wisconsin. Vocalists and bands are encouraged to submit for consideration for a slot in the showcase. All genres of music are acceptable. Performers may accompany themselves, may sing to tracks, or may include an entire band, as long as each band member is 18 years or younger.


Historically, between 10 and 12 acts are chosen to perform in an approximate 7 to 8 minute slot during the showcase. Acts are chosen from all submissions received by June 8th. WAMI seeks to choose performers from all area of the state.


After June 8th, all acts will be judged by a selection panel made up of 5 WAMI Board and Committee members. Those selected to perform must be available July 5th; performers are notified by June 12th.


Submissions must include: A CD or DVD including at least 2 songs; a list of all members, including age, grade in school, and contact information; a recent photo; a list of recent public performances; and a $10. non-refundable submission fee, payable to WAMI.

Fees go toward the WAMI Scholarship fund for aspiring performers. Submissions close June 8th.
