Join Committees

Whether you are a current WAMI member, or are just looking to get involved in the Wisconsin music community and WAMI events, there are many opportunities for you to volunteer. This year WAMI will be defining new roles and responsibilities within the organization, and as always we need active volunteers.

Use the form below to enter your basic contact information, your area(s) of interest, and give a brief description of your music industry background. You can also send the same information to volunteer@wamimusic.com. A WAMI Board member or Committee chairperson will be in contact with you soon. As always, your information is kept secure and confidential.

Thanks,
WAMI Board of Directors.

I tell bands to google WAMI……….Many of the younger bands don’t know about the organization yet.

I think just throwing out the name at events everyone attends will encourage younger people to get involved……and then, in return, we can help them.

Hello, I Have been a fan and artist of the hiphop culture since 1983. I want to find an outlet, education and guidance for urban youth.

      Hello Adrian,

One of the core principles of WAMI is to help educate existing and aspiring musicians. Wisconsin resident musicians of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend WAMI events for the information and networking opportunities. The public is welcome free of charge to our General meetings (please see Calendar). WAMI also sponsors an annual Youth Showcase in June with live performance opportunities. Performers of all genres of music under the age of 18 are invited to enter. Details for the annual event will be available in the Spring.

I hope this helps. Music is just one of many constructive outlets for today’s youth. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to post them.
