2013 WAMI People’s Choice Awards FAQ
Voting for the 2013 WAMI People’s Choice will begin on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 (12:00 AM). Online voting will remain open through Friday, March 8, 2013 (11:59 PM). The categories are being posted early this year to allow WAMI members and the public extra time to research, listen to and decide their choices prior to open voting. There will be no paper ballots.
Please read the information regarding the 2013 WAMI People’s Choice Awards listed below.
This area inludes General Rules and other information that may be helpful in answering your questions. As Frequently Asked Questions and associated answers accumulate, they will be posted at the bottom of this page. If you don’t see your question/concern about this year’s categories, the nomination/voting process, or an answer to it, please contact peopleschoice@wamimusic.com, a WAMI Executive Committee member, or stop in at a WAMI event and ask any WAMI Awards Show Committee member in person. We’ll be happy to help.
Feel free to also post your voting process-related questions at the bottom of this page. Please refrain from artist endorsements on any of the voting pages.

Rules:
- A valid email address is required to vote.
- One vote per person will be accepted.
- The Artist/Band/Radio Station/Music Teacher/Music Venue should be located in, or have lived in Wisconsin for 6 months of the previous year. (Same definition as for 2013 WAMI Awards Nominations.)
- You must select a single Wisconsin Region from which your favorite Artist/Band/Radio Station/Music Teacher/Music Venue is being recognized. (For example; where they are located or where you’ve seen/heard them.)
- You will be asked to opt-in to WAMI’s Mailing List. WAMI appreciates your vote and the time you’ve taken to evaluate candidates on which to base your decision. WAMI values your input and ongoing participation in our organization. We want to keep you informed about WAMI events and hear from you about your involvement in Wisconsin music. You can opt-out of the email list at any time. Choosing not to opt-in will not affect your vote.
