Exciting Youth Initiatives Are Coming
Jul 5, 2005

Remember when you were 14 and stepped out in front of the mic for the first time? The WAMI Youth Committee will be looking for new (and old) members to join us as we plan innovative strategies for encouraging the younger musicians of our community.

We'll be exploring ways to support performance opportunities for musicians and bands under age 21. Several exciting ideas have already been proposed to attract youth to WAMI and to provide inspiring educational events regarding the music industry.

If you're interested in helping the next generation of musicians, watch for an announcement in early September about our first meeting. We'd love to have you join us! Email our committee chair, Barbara Wagner, to share ideas or for more info.

Jammin' 98.3 Also Sponsors Youth Showcase
Jan 7, 2005

They're excited to be involved and we're excited to have them. We have just learned that the fine folks at Jammin' 98.3, Today's R&B and Old School, have decided to join our endeavor to support area youth as a sponsor of this year’s youth showcase.

Afternoon drive guy Earl Stokes and his 12 year old son, Jammin Nick, will also serve as the show’s Masters of Ceremony! Thanks Earl and Nick. We look forward to having you.
