2015 WAMI AWARDS SHOW PERFORMERS

Masonic Wonders - The Masonic Wonders are the longest continually performing black gospel quartet in Milwaukee. They’ve been singing together since 1956, when they formed at a local Masonic lodge. Two of the four original members, Charles McCullum and Charles Carter, are still with the quartet.

Consult the Briefcase - Pounding out rock and blues anthems, reincarnating the soulful wails and thunderous groove-soaked riffage of an era gone but not forgotten, Consult the Briefcase originated in Stevens Point, but recently centralized in Appleton. CTB plays songs that were forged in the 60’s to late 70’s, along with continual creation of original jams drawn from the influences of respected artists such as Janis Joplin, The Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin, and Humble Pie.

Rob DZ - Rob DZ combines elements of jazz, R&B, funk and gospel with a talented wordsmith to make a sound unlike any other in music. As winner of “Best Hip Hop Artist”, “People’s Choice Award” and “Best Hip Hop Song” and “Album” at the Madison Area Music Awards, DZ is quickly becoming a leader in the soulful midwest hip hop movement.

The Pat Watters Band - The Pat Watters Band is a one-of-a-kind live experience. Five uniquely individual musicians are hell-bent on carrying the flag together for a cause they believe in- the Wisconsin Country Music Movement. They aren’t waiting to be discovered, they aren’t trying to copy a sound, and they aren’t trying to be anyone else. They’re paving their own way and making their own mark on a mission to develop and amplify a new voice in country music; a voice that represents the Wisconsin lifestyle.

Metal Men - In 1998, rock musicians prevalent in the Milwaukee original/ cover scene from the 1980s and early 1990s recognized a return to the glory days of hard rock and heavy metal and the Metal Men were born. METAL MEN perform the music they love from the 1980s hard rock and heavy metal heyday, and pump pure adrenaline into the veins of old friends and new acquaintances.

The People Brothers Band - One of the staples of Madison’s vibrant music scene, The People Brothers Band is an 8-piece Rhythm & Soul powerhouse. Their only only desire is to get you moving on the dance floor. They are the winners of the WAMI Award for 2014 R&B Band of the Year and the MAMA Awards for 2013 Blues Album & Blues Song of the Year. Most importantly, they are a family whose love for music and playing together shines brightly through each performance.

The Delta Routine - The Delta Routine is a rock and roll group from Milwaukee, consisting of Nick Amadeus (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Mike Hoffmann (Guitar/Vocals), Evan Paydon (Bass/Vocals) and Kyle Ciske (Drums). USA Today says “Fellow fans of Americana music should check ‘em out, starting with today’s Pop Candy premiere of “Home With You.”

Shonn Hinton & Shotgun - Tonight’s house band. Shonn Hinton has been described as a passionate, skillful, and talented guitarist. Audiences around the world have witnessed his sound, but many never hear the name of this impeccable guitarist as he’s featured on stages backing Mary J Blige, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, John Legend, & Jill Scott. At the age of 35, Hinton’s playing style has been compared to that of a physical voice, singing with great conviction. “Shotgun” brings Hinton together with some of the Milwaukee area’s top musicians.
