De La Buena
Whether you are a listener or a dancer, De La Buena has something for you! The 10 piece band explores the textures and rhythms of the Latin musics of the Americas with roots planted firmly in African Diasporic traditions. Now in their 6th year, this award-winning band combines Afro-Cuban and Latin Jazz. Ever wonder what would happen if the “old school salsa sound” from the ’70′s pulsated into the new millennium? Check out De La Buena!

Green Bay can boast a four member rock band that redefines for the audience what a real rock band can accomplish during a show: Guitars slap you in the face, drums drown out your heart beat, and lights buzz with the bass lines as the room quakes with each downbeat. If any Wisconsin music fan has any doubt that rock is alive and well in the state, attend the next Annex show and you’ll leave exhausted, but a believer!

Horseshoes and Hand Grenades
In 2009, five musicians from the Steven’s Point area got together to play progressive, high energy, bluegrass-rooted, folksy old-time music, and called themselves “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. Being mostly inspired by rivers, valleys, good friends, and good drink, this five piece is as sturdy as any Midwest riverbed and will make your toes tape from sundown to sunrise.

Named 2012 “Solo Artist of the Year” by RadioMilwaukee, Klassik molds a unique blend of musical styles, ultimately fusing hip-hop with jazz, resulting in a lively, fresh sound that is truly his own. Klassik released his first full length album, “In the Making” in 2012 and gained national attention as it charted on the College Music Journal’s Hip-Hop Top 40 for 8 weeks. New school meets old school…now that’s Klassik.

The Squeezettes
Back in 2006, in the diverse, artistic, Milwaukee neighborhood known as Riverwest,  forgotten accordions made their way out of musty basements and into the hands of eager,  creative people with a dream…and The Squeezettes was born!  Their music is “power polka”, and then some….pop and rock tunes are also on the set list. Five members make up the band that won “Polka Band of the Year” in 2012.  Get your dancing shoes ready and turn on the bubble machine!

Sexy Ester
From Madison, Sexy Ester has been described as sharp, smart, and deadly accurate with their hook-laden Post-Modern Power Pop. Fronted by MAMA Award-winning vocalist Lyndsay Evans, the 5 member band also won MAMAs for “Best Alternative Band”, as well as “Album of the Year”, for their most recent CD titled “Sequins, Sin & Appetite”.

The Jimmys
“With the help of a top notch horn and rhythm section, The Jimmys create a big band blues sound unlike any band in this area”, raved Jim Cox of the Minnesota Blues Society. In 2009, Keyboard player Jimmy Voegeli put together the 8-piece band, and since then, they’ve racked up 5 MAMA’s and 2 WAMI’s. Their latest CD, “Gimme the Jimmys” has had coast-to-coast airplay.
