Looking to play an outdoor venue this Summer?

MAAM has worked out a partnership with the presenters of Kenosha’s Peanut Butter & Jam and the City of Kenosha to produce a 6 week music series at the SesquicentennialBandshell at Pennoyer Park. This event will consist of LOCAL MAAM member bands. Here are the particulars:

Where – Sesquicentennial Bandshell at Pennoyer Park
When – Tuesday Evenings – August, 7, 14, 21, 28 & September 4, 11.
Time – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
Compensation – $200 – One Band Per Night
Sound will be provided

Here is what you need to do to submit for consideration:

1. Be a MAAM Member (Go to the Website to join)

2. Submit a Hard Copy Promo Package or An Electronic Promo Package

Hard Copy Promo Packages can be dropped off at CD DVD GAME Warehouse , 3717 80^th St Kenosha
Electronic Promo Packages can be emailed to kenoshamaam@yahoo.comSubmit by June 17^th. That’s not very far away so you’d better hurry. Why the deadline? We must get our line up for all 6 dates confirmed so we can begin our advertising push by July 4^th.

Here’s what will happen: All submittals must be in by June 17^th. During the next week, the MAAM Board and Special Events committee will go through all promo packages and will rate them on several different criteria. Bands will be contacted by June 20^th to confirm their availability of dates.

Please keep in mind that this is our first of what we hope to be many more special events. This year we start small, but it’s a step and we want it to be as successful as possible. If you are not chosen this year please remember, if we are successful this year, we will run a longer series next year. We are hoping for involvement by everyone for a successful event. We are working on the future of music events in Kenosha. It matters to all of us.
