WISCONSIN AREA MUSIC INDUSTRY ANNOUNCES NOMINEES FOR
THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – The Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) has announced the finalists for the People’s Choice Awards. The Awards Show will be held at 7:30 PM on Sunday, April 15th, at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton. $9.99/students, $29.99/adults, and $99.99 for a pair of VIP tickets (This includes 2 drink tickets, and a private tour backstage of the PAC) The tickets are on sale now through the Fox Cities PAC Box Office, http://www.foxcitiespac.com/events.
This year’s performers include: The Gufs, I’m Not A Pilot, Prophetic, Shaker and the Egg, Project Pink, Tim Castle and Young Southern, and Greg Waters and the Broad Street Boogie. The WAMI organization has also announced that the alternative rock/pop band The Gufs, jazz pianist and composer Ben Sidran, and singer-songwriter, bass guitarist and film score composer Leland Bruce Sklar are the 2012 inductees into the WAMI Hall of Fame.

The Wisconsin Area Music Industry is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to educate and recognize the achievements and accomplishments of individuals in the Wisconsin music industry. The group also utilizes its fund to provide a Youth Music Showcase and provide scholarships to students and emerging artists.
